2017 Water Leaders Class
Alex is the Southwest Policy Analyst and Staff Attorney for the National Young Farmers Coalition where he coordinates state and Federal policy efforts to help the next generation of farmers and ranchers grapple with a changing climate and water resource challenges. He graduated from Virginia Tech, with a degree in Environmental Policy and Planning, and Vermont Law School, where he specialized in natural resource law. Alex has worked on a number of water projects bringing together multiple stakeholders to benefit both agriculture and the environment, including a recent restoration effort in the Colorado River headwaters. When not working, Alex can often be found on top of a nearby 13er or pondering a ski-hut trip.
