2017 Water Leaders Class
Scott is an Associate Water Resource Engineer at Matrix Design Group. He has 11 years of experience with a diverse background in civil engineering. Scott’s water resource experience includes stream restoration design, geomorphic analysis, stormwater management design, water budget analysis, permitting, corridor planning studies, land development, groundwater studies, athletic/golf course design, floodplain evaluations, LID and LEED designs, and drainage infrastructure design. Scott also has worked on international projects such as World Monument Funds sites.
Scott grew up in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia and Tennessee; he became an Eagle Scout and fell in love with nature. His southern upbringing is evident in the first few moments you meet Scott, when he responds with a “yes ma’am,” or “yes sir!” Scott serves the non-profit community in Denver as president of Denver Trout Unlimited and as a member of the CWCB Metro Roundtable, which keeps his finger on the pulse of water activities in Colorado.
